Housing In Cam
Housing in Cam has been a contentious issue for some time. Extremely rapid at times seemingly uncontrolled,, large housing developments have happened, without real care for the environment, existing residents and the local infrastructure.
Box Road for example has seen 6 major housing estates built and the road itself is totally inadequate for the amount of traffic it now has to support, with access to the main A4135 is becoming increasingly difficult, causing major bottlenecks at peak times.
This also is the main route the Cam Train Station and again the road fails to meet the requirements of every day traffic. and is crumbling apart in many places. In addition parked cars make the road both difficult and dangerous.
Yet, there are still plans to add to the building in this road which is already unable to cope.
