Planning & Highways Meeting 15/7/25 6:30pm
The next CPC Planning & Highways Meeting is this coming Wednesday, 9th July, at 6:30pm. There are a couple really BIG items on the agenda :
1. Proposed changes to Hopton Road and new road markings in Everlands by the Scout Hut
2. Part 1 of PS24 (Persimmon land behind Millwood Motors) will be put before SDC Development Control Committee on Tuesday, 15th July at 6pm – S.21/1875/OUT – Hybrid application for residential development up to 795 dwellings comprising of 226 dwellings of a full application and remaining balance of up to 569 dwellings as an outline planning application (with all matters reserved), with supporting infrastructure and enabling works including: new vehicular access off the A4135, public open space, landscaping and drainage infrastructure. Now Highways has miraculously solved Junction 14 capacity issues itβs all systems go π
Also please note Employment Land 1 (land directly opposite the station) is now being advertised.
And, just in case you missed it, the two already permitted applications for c270 houses behind Kerry Foods have been given detailed permission – Iβm assuming completely ignoring constructive feedback, as usual, from CPC.
We face considerable disruption over the coming years as more and more of our quiet village is urbanised π
